How to Apply

The 2025-2026 Orion Military Scholars Program Application Season (for Fall 2026 enrollment in boarding schools) opens August 1, 2025 and runs through November 15 2025. Before applying, be sure to read our Eligibility Requirements. Beginning in 2025, candidates will be required to follow a two-step process:

1. Complete and submit Orion’s Military Eligibility Form, and, 2. Once eligibility is approved, Orion will email candidates a Calendly link to schedule an Orion Zoom Interview, and the link to Orion’s Standard Application Online. Orion’s Standard Application Online, all supporting recommendations and transcripts, and the Orion Zoom Interview must be completed by the November 15, 2015 deadline.

  • Children of US military personnel currently serving in the Active Component, commonly known as “active duty,” are eligible to apply for Orion’s Military Scholars Program.

  • Orion’s scholarships mentoring and support services are for high school years, so students should not apply prior to entering eighth grade.

  • Orion’s application season opens annually on August 1st and involves a two-step process. First, candidates must submit Orion’s Military Eligibility Form. If eligible, Orion will email candidates the links to schedule Orion Zoom Interviews through Calendly and to complete Orion’s Standard Application Online. Orion’s current deadline for completed Interviews and submission of Applications, Transcript Forms, and Letters of Recommendation is November 15th of the year prior to desired enrollment in boarding school.

  • Families and applicants are encouraged to ask questions and seek guidance at any time during the application process. Submit your application inquiries and requests for interviews to apply@orionmilitary.org.

Determine Military Eligibility

Submit this form as soon as possible, but no later than November 1, 2025.

STEP TWO:

Orion Interview and Application

Once eligibility is approved, Orion will email candidates a link to schedule an Orion Zoom Interview and a link to Orion’s Standard Application Online (SAO). The Orion Interview and Orion SAO with all supporting recommendations and transcripts are due no later than November 15, 2025.
